About Bull Shoals Lake

Bull Shoals Lake stretches across the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas and southern Missouri, offering more than 48,000 acres of clear water and over 820 miles of shoreline. Its rocky banks, deep coves, bluffs and expansive open water create a scenic setting and a diverse fishery that has made Bull Shoals a well-known destination for anglers throughout the region.

For bass anglers, Bull Shoals offers opportunities to target largemouth, smallmouth and Kentucky/spotted bass, along with a variety of other gamefish. The lake is recognized as a prime fishery and has produced multiple Arkansas and Missouri state records. More than 450 fish attractors have also been placed throughout the lake through a habitat program involving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

With its combination of clear water, varied structure and miles of fishable shoreline, Bull Shoals can challenge anglers to adapt to changing conditions and different styles of fishing. It provides a fitting Ozark setting for a Mr. Bass of Arkansas tournament and a great start to the 2027 season.
